There are three (3) main base units for the EnGenius Durafon Cordless Phones - The Durafon 1X, 4X & Pro. Some of the standard system features of the EnGenius Cordles Phones are; 9 programmable PBX functions per handset, 6 hours talk time, 50 hours stand-by time, Adjustable Ringer / Vibration, Call Hold, Caller ID, Call Logs (dialed, missed, received), Call Transfer, Call Waiting w/Caller ID, Call Barring (dial restrictions), Do Not Disturb (silent ring), Last Number Redial, Music on Hold Source Input, Mute, Name Tagging w/Caller ID, Text Messages (handset to handset), One Year Manufactures Warranty. The 3 EnGenius Cordless Phone models are not interchangeable with each other so if you want more than one long range cordless phone the DuraFon 1X model may not be the best match and the DuraFon 4X may be better and if you want more than 36 long range cordless phones the DuraFon Pro will be the DuraFon base unit to start with.
The EnGenius Durafon 1X base has one (1) port and supports only one line or only one extension if it is being used behind a PBX/Phone system. Nine (9) handsets can be used per base for walkie-talkie purposes to other handsets however and the Durafon 1X is expandable up to four (4) base units and up to thirty-six (36) handsets and can have up to thirty (30) saved phone book entries. The EnGenius Durafon 4X base has four (4) ports and supports four (4) lines and or four (4) extensions per base unit if it is being used behind a PBX/Phone system. The EnGenius 4X base unit supports up to thirty-six (36) handsets and has a built-in Auto Attendant, up to thirty (30) saved phone book entries, supports call forwarding to internal and external phone numbers and supports three (3) way conference calls. The EnGenius Durafon PRO base is an enhanced version of the EnGenius Durafon 4X base unit. Some similarities are that the PRO also has four (4) ports and supports four (4) lines and or four (4) extensions per base unit if it is being used behind a PBX/Phone system and supports call forwarding to internal and external phone numbers and supports three (3) way conference calls. However it differs in that it is expandable up to ninety (90) handsets, up to eight (8) base units, up to thirty-two (32) lines/extensions and up to ninety (90) saved phone book entries. The EnGenius Durafon Pro also has a broadcast page to all connected base units and has a SPEAKER PHONE on the Durafon PRO handset and the Durafon PRO also has a phone for just walkie talkie/two (2) way radio use - the DuraWalkie. Installation & Support
If you are unable to resolve any programming issues by yourself let me know and I can have my technician either call you for support at $60 per 30 minutes with a 30 minute minimum billed in 15 minute increments after that or have my local technician come out at $125/hr with a $75 visit trip. If wiring is needed in a standard office environment with drywalls and drop ceilings and within 120’ of the processor they are $75 each – individual wire runs are needed from the phone system processor to each individual phone for a phone system.
For New System Installs - Install estimates are based off of 30 minutes per phone and if a system voice mail solution is involved 45 minutes per extension not to exceed 3 hours over that estimate. Trouble shooting is not included in the estimate and if applicable is billed separately.
